Abstract: In social robotics, it is essential to recognise a person and pursue an interaction for a long amount of time or over short, but consecutive interactions. However, at the current state of the art, entertainment and education robots are task-oriented in pre-defined interactions (e.g. dancing, teaching numbers), and lack contingency in the interaction, which result in the loss of interest in the long term. We propose that memory is one of the key solutions to this problem. In this talk our approach to recognition and the intended application in cardiac rehabilitation for increasing the motivation in the therapy will be explained.

¡Los esperamos!
