| The Escuela Colombiana
de Ingeniería Julio Garavito - ECI (The Colombian School
of Engineering) - was founded in 1972. Currently, the school
is located on a 70 acre campus in a beautiful natural environment
in the north part of Bogotá and has approximately 4,600
students in undergraduate and graduate programs. It includes
complete state-of-the art laboratories, advanced computer systems,
one of the largest collections of Engineering texts and journals
in Colombia as well as international and national access to
information via the internet.
ECI's professors and researchers have a great degree of knowledge
and experience in their respective fields and are abreast
of recent advances in scientific progress. Furthermore, they
are committed to imparting their knowledge and the benefits
of their experience through teaching. Consequently, an education
at ECI produces students of the highest quality, creativity,
and expertise. Students graduate prepared to offer innovative
solutions to problems in the national and international arenas.
In keeping with the founding philosophy of the school, teachers
